Bankable Member Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Bankable!
Bankable is designed to provide founders, operators, and business leaders with access to practical resources, expert-led content, live events, and peer connections that support smarter decision-making at every stage of growth.
These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the relationship between:
Bankable Ventures Alberta Ltd. (“Bankable”)
and
the individual registering with Bankable (“Member”).
This Agreement is accepted electronically as part of the Bankable registration process. By selecting “I Agree” or completing the Bankable membership form, you agree to be legally bound by the terms below.
1. Purpose of Bankable Membership
Bankable exists to provide growth-stage business owners and operators with:
- access to educational content, including expert content and curated resources
- invitations to live and virtual events hosted by Bankable and its Network Partners
- opportunities to connect with peers, professionals, and advisors within the Bankable Network
- updates on tools, programs, and services offered by Bankable
Access to Bankable’s membership platform and intelligence tools does not, on its own, constitute regulated financial advice. Bankable’s lending and advisory services are delivered through separate, dedicated client engagements and are governed accordingly.
2. Eligibility
Bankable membership is open to individuals who:
- are business owners, operators, founders, or professionals
- are at least 18 years of age
- provide accurate and truthful information during registration
Bankable reserves the right to decline or revoke membership at its discretion.
3. Account and Profile
By registering, the Member agrees to:
- provide accurate, current, and complete information
- keep their profile and contact details up to date
- maintain the security of any login credentials associated with their account
Each membership is individual. Members may not share, transfer, or assign their account to another person.
4. Cost and Membership Structure
Bankable membership is currently offered at no cost.
Bankable reserves the right to introduce paid tiers, premium features, or subscription-based access in the future. Members will be notified in advance of any changes to the cost structure and will not be charged without explicit consent.
5. Acceptable Use and Code of Conduct
Bankable is a professional environment built on mutual respect and shared value.
Members agree to:
- engage constructively and professionally in all interactions
- respect the intellectual property and confidentiality of other members, Network Partners, and Bankable
- refrain from using Bankable for unsolicited solicitation, spam, or self-promotion unrelated to legitimate business discussion
Members agree not to:
- harass, intimidate, or discriminate against other members
- misrepresent their identity, qualifications, or business
- share, distribute, or reproduce proprietary content (including expert content and resources) without written permission from Bankable
- use Bankable to promote illegal activity or any activity that could harm the reputation of Bankable or its members
6. Content and Intellectual Property
All content made available through Bankable, including but not limited to expert content and resources, articles, videos, templates, event recordings, and resources, is the intellectual property of Bankable Ventures Alberta Ltd. or the respective contributing Network Partner.
Members may access and use this content for their own personal and business development purposes only.
Members may not:
- reproduce, redistribute, or publicly share content available through Bankable without prior written consent
- claim ownership of content created by Bankable or its Network Partners
- use content for commercial resale or republication
7. No Financial, Legal, or Professional Advice
Content and resources provided through Bankable are educational and informational in nature only.
Nothing within Bankable’s membership platform constitutes:
- financial advice
- legal advice
- tax advice
- investment advice
- a guarantee of business outcomes
Members are encouraged to consult qualified professionals before making business, financial, or legal decisions. Bankable is not liable for any decisions made based on content available through Bankable.
8. Introductions and Referrals
From time to time, Bankable may facilitate introductions between Members and professionals within the Bankable Partner Network or Lender Network.
The Member acknowledges that:
- introductions are made in good faith and at Bankable’s discretion
- Bankable does not guarantee outcomes from any introduction
- any engagement with a Network Partner or Lender is a separate relationship governed by its own terms
9. Communications and CASL Compliance
By joining Bankable the Member agrees to receive essential communications related to their membership, including:
- account confirmations and onboarding information
- Bankable announcements and platform updates
- event invitations directly related to your Bankable membership
Marketing and promotional communications, including updates about new expert content and resources, articles, and Bankable news, are optional and require separate, explicit consent during registration.
Members may withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in each email or by contacting Bankable directly.
Bankable complies with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and will never send unsolicited commercial electronic messages without proper consent.
10. Privacy and Data
Member information and your personal data are collected, stored, and processed in accordance with Bankable’s Privacy Policy, which is written in compliance with Alberta’s PIPA and Canada’s PIPEDA.
The Member acknowledges that:
- registration data are stored within Bankable’s secure systems, including our website database and internal data management tools
- profile information may be used internally to tailor content, events, and resource recommendations
- personal data will not be sold to third parties
Members may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting Bankable.
11. Use of AI and Data
Bankable utilizes an internal, secure AI-enabled system to support the efficient matching of Members with relevant content, events, and professional resources.
The Member acknowledges that:
- their profile information and stated interests may be used for internal matching and recommendation purposes
- such data is stored within Bankable’s secure systems
- no data is used to train external or third-party AI models

12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bankable Ventures Alberta Ltd. shall not be liable for:
- any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in Bankable
- loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities related to participation
- actions, advice, or services provided by third parties, including Network Partners or Lenders introduced through the platform
Bankable’ membership platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
13. Suspension and Termination
Bankable reserves the right to suspend or terminate a Member’s access at its discretion, with or without notice.
Grounds for suspension or termination include:
- violation of this Agreement
- misrepresentation of identity or business
- conduct that is harmful, disruptive, or damaging to Bankable or its members
- harassment or misconduct toward other members, Network Partners, or Bankable staff
- any activity that poses a legal or reputational risk to Bankable
Members may voluntarily cancel their membership at any time by contacting Bankable.
14. Modifications to These Terms
Bankable reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
When significant changes are made:
- the “First published on” or “Last updated” date at the top of this document will be revised
- Members may be notified via email or through Bankable’s platforms
Continued participation in Bankable following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
15. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and applicable federal laws of Canada.
16. Electronic Acceptance
By selecting “I Agree” or completing the Bankable Membership form, the Member:
- confirms that they have read and understood this Agreement
- agrees to participate in accordance with these terms
- acknowledges this as a binding agreement with Bankable Ventures Alberta Ltd.
